Nigeria: Business decline for fish farmers due to inflation in the price of fish feeds.

Lagos — Fish agriculturists in Lagos State are in a matter of seconds leaving the business because of the expansion in the cost of fish nourishes in the state.

The costs, as indicated by the agriculturists, have gone up by as high as 80 to 100 percent and that was driving some of them to surrender their homesteads looking for different business wanders.

A prestigious fish rancher, Nurudeen Tiamiyu, said a 15kg sack of catfish nourish delivered in Nigeria was a couple of months prior sold at N6,000 yet that it now offers for N9,000 while the foreign made ones that sold for N6,000 now goes for N11,000.

Tiamiyu, who is the overseeing chief of Amolese Aquaculture Nigeria Limited in Ikotun, noticed that a few months prior, tilapia nourish made in Nigeria sold for about N3,150 per 15kg pack however now goes for N4,200.
